I am a senior member of the team that makes up London Sarcoma Service. This is the main treatment body that deals with patients who are managed with bone and soft tissue sarcomas. We are the tertiary care unit for these conditions in South east of England and treat around 1500 such patients a year. Number of patients who get referred for opinion for possible sarcomas are however over 5000 a year. There are other specialist referrals spanning the various fields of orthopaedics including complex spine, hips, shoulders, arthroplasties, peripheral nerve injuries, foot and ankle and spinal injuries.
